Default New here, so here a few pics of my nonaudiophile...

    ... 2.1 channel system.

Two bridged Emotiva XPA2 amps, about 800 watts a side, with four cooling fans for each one, an Aphex 204, PopPulse DAC, SL1250MK5, Nagaoka MP500h cart, USP-1 preamp, ERC-1 CD player, Polk RTI a9s, and lamp cord for speaker wire. There's a sub too, but I didn't bother to take a picture. If you haven't guessed I'm an Emotiva fanboy.

Under the turntable is a drawer the holds a little notebook running MediaMonkey the feeds the DAC from an external hard drive. The tape out on the preamp connects to the notebook allowing me to rip vinyl to the hard drive using Vinylstudio. I keep my Cowan S9 and a CMoy head phone amp in there as well.

Technics SL1250mk5 with a KAB fluid damper, fancy isolation feet, thicker mat and a fancy wood box just for show. It all sits on a home built flexy rack. The rack has two six outlet power strips mounted on the back.

Nagaoka MP500h cart. (Great sounding cart by the way.)

The whole mess from the side.

Caesar, my fuzzy woofer, enjoying notes too high for me to hear.

    Thanks for looking!!!

    cheers

How do you like your Emotiva gear? Recognized it right away. They're about a half hour drive from me.
Lyrics are the ramblings of man, sometimes inspired by The Creator, most often, not.
But music (melodies, harmonies, rhythms), that's God stuff.
    Always was. Always will be.

One of the biggest lies ever told was that only certain kinds of people should listen to certain kinds of music.

It's quality stuff. The amps are neutral, no coloration and pack one hellava punch with a ton of headroom.

Leaning to the objectivist side, the Emotica stuff is right up my ally.

Polk 'speakers always look intersting - you don't see 'em much in the UK.

Did that MP500 come in gold or have you 'treated' it?

The rack looks nice and nifty. Is it your own design?

I stole the idea off the net.

I designed the rack to fit my components. I assembled it, but I had a cabinet maker construct the shelves, cheery veneer over plywood.

I'd like to convince myself there was an improvement in sound quality, but it's just turntable "bling".
