    Default Streaming issue

I have a problem that seemed to start when : BT installed full fibre broadband
    I borrowed a Topping E30/2 Dac.

My music keeps stopping every so often, sometimes restarting but not always.
I’ve been in touch with EE thinking it might be down to them, and even wiring in the Node to a mesh WiFi booster, again even after that I’m getting issues.
I set the node up as far as I’m aware correctly when using an external Dac, but still I got the stopping problem.

There are various posts about people getting a similar issue, at least one linking it to a BT broadband/Node2i/ Qobuz combination, but theories differ.
I’m now wondering if the Topping Dac is causing the problem?
A previous Dac, the Project E box caused a small but audible ‘pffft’ before a track was about to play, so I didn’t keep that.

Numerous powering down and rebooting have made no difference.

Could a mismatch between the Node and the Topping cause such a problem?

    Your help is really appreciated!

quite possible. some of these units can be touchy on streams sadly. i just stream straight to my pc and have no issues. sometimes think keeping it simple suits me.
sorry i cant be of any help.

Sorry for any confusion. I can't work out if you're connecting Wi-Fi or Hard Wired.

If Wi-Fi, that's your problem. (forget it), direct hard wire connection should resolve your issue.

    Both.

In as much as WiFi , but via Ethernet cable from the EE mesh device to the Node.

My signal strength is very high

    Hope that makes sense

    Thanks for the heads up.

Is it not possible to run directly from the router? rather than the Wi-Fi mesh.

I only ask as I have a similar mesh setup (Sky), and the mesh extensions are not as good as the direct connection to the router.

Initially, I suffered a similar issue that you're encountering when connecting from a remote mesh device to my Microrendu / Myteck Brooklyn Dac (dropouts), but when I run a cable directly back to my router, all was well.

In their infinite wisdom BT installed the router at the top of my stairs on the landing,as opposed to in my conservatory on the ground floor, so really, using a 20 yard long Ethernet cable is not an option.

Just to repeat I have ample signal and have ascertained I’m not suffering drop out.

Is it indicative of good WiFi signal as I don’t have any issues with other streaming stuff such as Netflix etc?
