It´s not bad at all, just slightly limited as opposed to what a Boxee i.e. can do.

I bought one for Netflix purposes primarily. As I have Internet based TV services and PPV ability with movies already, Apples slightly slim EU offering didn´t add anything substantial value on that part.

What do you want to do with it and what do yoy need in your setup ?

I suppose it depends what you want from it...if it's just a media centre you want then a Raspberry Pi running XBMC is a cheaper option...

If you have an iPad, iPhone, ipod touch or apple computer, you can do some nice stuff with it, like airplaying music to your system for example. The mirroring feature allows you to send what's on the iPad screen to the tv too, which is very handy.

You can also use it for Netflix, renting movies, listening to Internet radio. If you jailbreak it (very easy), you can install xbmc and play flacs too.

Sonically it's not the best, but pretty good IMHO.
