    Default Deezer

Looks to me like Deezer Premium does most of what Spotify Premium does at half the cost.
    Is that right?

Pretty much, not tried it yet and I'm not sure what the bitrate is either, do you know?

Looks to me that there a two Premuim services, opposed to Spotifys one. The 9.99 service is the same as Spotify Premium (offline mode) but if you don't want mobile offline playback its only 4.99 which is good.

Most important are the bitrate & the contents of the catalogue.

Premium+ offers 'enhanced quality' for £9.99. My guess is Enhanced quality is 320kbps, same as Spotify Premium for the same price.

I wonder what the artist / track selection is like.

There's that phrase that always makes me doubtful of quality, namely "up to 320 kbps"

Up to 320 it seems Chris, but the catalogue would be the clincher?
The free mode is crap though, only 30 seconds playback of tracks.

I have just listened to Nils Lofgren-Acoustic Live on Deezer and the quality was more than acceptable. Great music too (heard about it on AOS)
